h1. Project meeting 2024-08-19

#  We will use local experts (Juhani Tammi, Architect Viljanen, and Jon Öst) and try to do without hiring any consult, to get it done fast. But if we cannot do it ourself, we can also hire some consultation from some companies. 

# We need to also agree on the evaluation criteria for the offers. 

# Trip to Kotka/Hamina in 29-30 August Agenda and timetable: We authorize Antti to negotiate the meeting program. The proposed time schedule for participants leaving from Vaasa is the following:

** Travel there, Thursday 29.8

*** Train 5:44 - 9:15 To Helsinki

*** Bus 10:10 - 11:47 from Helsinki to Kotka

** Travel back in Friday 30.8

*** Bus 14:50 - 15:55 from Kotka to Helsinki

*** Train 17:11 - 21:02 from Helsinki to Vaasa 	

# Data center education: Postponed to next meeting

h2. Data  center education

Making totally new programs may not be feasible at the moment, but we can provide some data center specific knowledge to the students of existing programs, such as: 

* Electrical engineering

* Computer science

* Business studies

* Mechanical engineering

* Energy engineering

This requires already some resources. One option could be to ask help from some external units, such as:

* CSC

* Companies who need trained personnell: Danfoss, ABB, Schneider, Microsoft, Google, Vaasan Sähkö, Fortum

A fast way to quickstart some activities could be to organize a Data center seminar. For that we need to find speakers, identify students and programs which would benefit from the seminar, define tasks for students and find a way to credit students with credit points of project works. 

Long term approaches needs funding. Sources can be ministry, Interreg Aurora, FiTech data center, or some other projects. 

Life long learning centers of Universities can already have organizations to take care of education.
