The specifications for grid connected DC UPS supporting new battery chemistry is problematic, and off-the-self technology may not exist. We need to do some more market research to find out if there is suitable technology available to specify that in our concept plan. If we do not find anything suitable, we will still write the specifications in the concept plan, but mark it as optional, so that it can be left out. Leaving it out would reduce the costs leaving us budget and justification to purchase it separately. The best thing would be to develop it in collaboration with a company using our research infrastructure.
